How long is too long waiting on a date?
So, you’ve taken the plunge and asked out that special someone you met on Plentyoffish or Lavalife or whatever dating site you signed up for BUT they have yet to take the bait. How long are you supposed to wait? I mean really, there are plenty of other people online dating in Colorado right?
This is a good question, after all, are you supposed to wait around for them to get up the guts to say yes and actually meet you? I vote not for long. Sure they might be nervous but if they aren’t ready to take things to the next level, then they are not ready and nothing you can do will change that.
If you are really interested in them however, you might want to explain the reality of the situation to them, nicely of course. Say you are willing to “stay friends” but you can’t put off meeting new people in hopes that “someday” something more will happen between the two of you.
Dating online is a great option but you still need to be wary of wasting your time, none of us are getting any younger after all.
