iDate (www.iDate.co.uk) is one of the newest entrants into the online dating industry, with a clean and good looking new idea. Instead of price gouging their member’s iDate makes their money through advertisers.

iDate features online dating news, and is soon to feature group dates and dating events. Users of iDate’s online dating website are also able to rate pictures of other users. The rating system works a lot like the system used in MySpace.

iDate members are also able to search the member profile database, for free, as every single service or feature provided currently on the iDate website is free.

Searches can be limited to members that are currently online or only members with profile pictures. Users can also search per specific geographical area narrowing the search down as far as the specific city the user would like to meet people in. The search function can also be used to specify a specific age group and again narrow results. Users can also specifically search for one iDate username.

iDate features a page on how to avoid dating scams. Included are in iDate’s website are tips that explain how online daters can a scam as well as how to avoid being trapped by scammer’s advertisements.
